Disabled Members

In 2017 SUE established the Disabled Members Forum Convenor position on the SUE Executive and a Disabled Members Forum, this was to ensure that Disabled Members had a voice at the top of the union and had a formal structure for members to join, raise concerns and actively campaign for change.

Since then, the Forum has developed an informal network to help support each other in the workplace and have met regularly. The Forum Convenor has raised key issues and concerns which face our members and make representations to both the SUE Executive and the employer. The Convenor plays an active role in assisting the lead SUE negotiators on Disabled Members views and concerns and reporting back to the wider membership.

Anyone who identifies as disabled can join the SUE Disabled Members Forum.

Membership of the SUE Disabled Members Forum is confidential, and your details will not be shared with others without your permission.
