The Society (SUE) is an independent trade union recognised by UNISON for the purposes of collective bargaining and representation at a national, regional, and local level for all staff whether directly employed or in UNISON branches. SUE also has a number of members who work in other Trade Unions.
The Society takes part in all national and regional negotiations and consultations with UNISON in order to represent the views and interests of SUE members.
SUE is a democratic member led organisation that encourages full participation. We have a delegate conference every two years.
We are proud to be affiliated to the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU), who provide an excellent training and education program for our members and a number of other services.
